Baroque Ensemble Director Christine Brandes (soprano), Associate Professor of Musicology Nicholas Mathew (piano), and 2019 Baroque Ensemble co-Director Carla Moore perform a A fun and varied program of late eighteenth-century vocal and instrumental music, performed with the department's world famous collection of period instruments -- including Haydn's Italian scena Arianna a Naxos, keyboard music by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, and a rarely heard violin sonata by the Viennese virtuoso Joseph Woelfl, based on tunes from Haydn's oratorio The Creation
