Performing Arts - Music | September 12 | 8-10 p.m. | Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse
2020 Addison, Berkeley, CA 94704
Join us for this back-to-school celebration! The Quarry Persons are back at the Freight to reprise their wildly popular sing-along show which packed the house in June 2016. They led standing-room only Sing the Beatles events at the San Francisco Free Folk Festival for several years and more recently rocked the Kensington Circus Pub in Kensington for many a Saturday. This tribute band recreates your favorite Beatles tunes with Joe Cadora and Carol Curtis on guitars, Amy Friedricks on bass and Bill Coffin on drums.
For this special event they are once again teaming up with Pete Elman, longtime Bay Area performer, composer, producer and educator. Peter gets rave reviews when he teaches his series of classes on the history of popular music for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. He brings The Beatles back to life with a wealth of information and behind the scenes anecdotes, and inspires us all with his passion for the music and the people behind that music.
Come and sing along to your favorite Beatles songs with all those memorable lyrics projected on a screen, learn some cool Beatles harmonies, relive some great moments in Beatle history, and get up and dance! Fun for all ages!
