Professor Richard Saykally and his research group are world leaders in water chemistry; he serves as an advisor to the International Institute of Bengal and Himalayan Basins (IIBHB), and is the convener of the Seventh Annual Townes (father of laser) and Tagore (Indian poet) Seminar, to be held in 775 Tan Hall onSeptember 17th (10am-3pm). Dr. Saykally's group will be addressing the novel research in water-related areas. Dr. Rash B Ghosh will be joining him along with another 15 scientists, engineers, and scholars of UCB and elsewhere. Ghosh will be speaking on canopy chemistry, interaction of climate and nutrients, and Hydrogramin in relation to addressing the global water crisis.
