For the first time ever, Montalvo Arts Center and Art Forum, in collaboration with the Institute for South Asia Studies at UC Berkeley, bring to you one of the largest South Asian Literature & Art Festival (SALA) in the US.

Showcasing contemporary reflections of literature and arts from the sub-continent, this celebration will be held at the beautiful Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga.

The Montalvo grounds will come alive with attractions that run the gamut from bookstores, book-reading, children’s hands-on craft activities, writing programs, south asian food stalls, and art-related exhibitors. In addition, folk artists, Bollywood pop up dancers, will represent the performing arts at the festival. There will be something for everyone and people of all ages.

The festival will feature highly acclaimed contemporary Indian art collections, panel discussions that include Art, Literature, Poetry, and Cinema.

In addition, local, national and international authors and artists will be represented in keynotes, panels, and on-stage presentations.

Priyanka Mathew from Sunderlande New York presents the exhibition Revelations: The Evolution of Modern and Contemporary Indian Art, featuring iconic works by Jamini Roy, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Krishen Khanna, Anjolie Ela Menon, Shobha Broota, G. R. Iranna, and more. The exhibition opens from Oct 6th to 13th.

Free Parking is available at West Valley College, parking lot 1. There will be frequent free Shuttles to Montalvo Arts Center throughout the day.
