UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra

Established in 1923, the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra is the oldest performing arts ensemble in the University of California system. Join us on Cal Day for a performance of Chaussons Poème, Glazunovs Concerto for Saxophone, and Mozarts First Flute Concerto in G Major. Featuring Zemei Zeng on violin, Alan Huang on saxophone, and Hallie Jo Gist on flute. David Milnes, music director.
Berkeley Nu Jazz Collective

Students from the Berkeley Nu Jazz Collective, directed by Myra Melford, play a set.
12-4 Campanile (Sather Tower)
Hear 10-minute carillon recitals each hour, on the hour, beginning at noon. University carillonist Jeff Davis and Cal staff and students perform solo works, carillon duets, and Cal songs. The Campanile Esplanade and the Faculty Glade are good places to listen.
