Tues. July 10 & Wed. July 11, 2012
each day @ 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

This conference addresses critical and urgent issues of contemporary Ireland, calling for an updated approach to analysis of Irish cultural topics.
Speakers & Guests include:
Ishmael Reed (Poet/Playwright/Novelist, MacArthur Fellowship "genius award” recipient)
Harry McGee (Political Correspondent for the "Irish Times")
Ignacio Chapela (Environmental Scientist & Activist)
Peter Glazer, Dave Hannigan, Maurice Fitzpatrick , Melanie O'Reilly and many more!
The four main themes of the conference are:
(1.) Performing Arts; (2.) Literature, Language, and Identity;
(3.) Politics, Technology, and the Economy; and (4.) Issues of Intellectual Freedom
Conference includes SPECIAL CONCERT, on Wed. 11th July, 7pm, featuring celtic jazz vocalist Melanie O'Reilly & pianist Frank Martin.
