Presenting archaeological data in ArcGIS: Introductory GIS Workshop 2

This introductory GIS workshop will walk through some techniques for preparing maps in ArcGIS 10 for use in presentations, in publications, and in fieldwork. We will begin the workshop with a general discussion of approaches to structuring archaeological spatial data and then focus on presenting these data in Arcmap.

The workshop will take place in the ARF 101 (classroom) with ArcGIS on an overhead projector. If you have a laptop with ArcGIS 10 (Windows) installed you are encouraged to bring it and follow along. If you have a laptop but need a copy of ArcGIS contact me well ahead of time to pick up a one year student-edition ArcGIS 10.1 disc in order to have time to have it installed and functioning for the workshop.
