Blegen Professor of Greek Archaeology, University of Cincinnati The Nemea Center for Classical Archaeology Since 1991, the University of Cincinnati has been engaged both in new archaeological fieldwork in Messenia, Greece, as well as reexamination of unpublished finds from the principal excavations by Carl Blegen. This research has added greatly to our understanding of the Mycenaean palatial community and its practices, as well as the history of occupation at the site prior to, and subsequent to, its function as a Bronze Age palace. |
