Dr. Mittler earned his B.A. in Agriculture and M.S. in Botany from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his Ph.D. from Rutgers University. His research interests are focused on the role Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) play in the regulation of different biological processes. He is currently a Professor of Plant Sciences in the College of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources.
