CoE x Rausser College Case Competition
Miscellaneous | March 14 | 3-6 p.m. | Valley Life Sciences Building
At this public case competition, teams with students from the College of Engineering and the Rausser College of Natural Resources will present to a panel of judges about their environmental solutions for our campus. Judges include Rausser College Dean David Ackerly, CoE Associate Dean of Research Dean Karl van Bibber, as well as two professors in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management, Daniel Sanchez and Alastair Iles.
The case, as presented to the competing teams, is written below:
The UC System has pledged to become Carbon Neutral by 2025. To reach this goal, how can we modify the facilities, vehicles, and landscape of our campus to be energy efficient? An exemplary solution will combine knowledge from the College of Engineering and the Rausser College of Natural Resources to form a system design that is supported by environmental research. The plan should show clear evidence of engagement with stakeholders on campus and be economically efficient.
