Celebrate the beginning of fall with this special outdoor concert of quartz crystal singing bowls and finely tuned gongs within a grove of redwoods. Close your eyes and experience the natural meditative quality of the forest and bird song layered with serene sounds of quartz crystal singing bowls.

Participants will learn about the history of incense use and the ethnobotany of selected tree resins. We will attune our senses with a brief demonstration of the Japanese incense ceremony (Koh-do) and listen to incenseby heating and passing around small chips of resinous heartwood from Aquilaria trees and trying to detect their aromatic nuances.
