World Travel 101: Tips for Independent Travel on a Budget

Workshop | November 30 | 3:30-5 p.m. | 223 Moses Hall

Megan Seelie, Speakers Bureau, Hostelling International

Berkeley Study Abroad, Hostelling International USA, Golden Gate Council

Join Berkeley Study Abroad and Hostelling International USA, Golden Gate Council, for a workshop on the nuts and bolts of planning a safe and affordable international trip. A representative of Hostelling International will discuss tools for trip planning, communication while on the road, accommodations, money matters, packing, health concerns, responsible and culturally-sensitive travel. With UC Berkeley students in mind, the workshop will also focus on the idea that travel is in itself a learning experience.

BSA and HI encourage all who are interested to come and participate in a discussion about how to have the most responsible and best travel experience possible.
