Communities around the world are organizing and standing up to protect their rights in the face of large scale development projects that threaten their livelihood and basic human rights. Indigenous and other communities are forcibly evicted or displaced every year to make way for development projects. Communities are fighting back. They are devising creative strategies to protect their rightsrights to land, culture, life, and environment. Lunch will be provided.
