How to Read a Film: Zero for Conduct
Workshop | November 17 | 2:45-6 p.m. | Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive
Film and video are the media through which students obtain many of their impressions of the broader world, and yet we tend to use film in the classroom much less critically than written texts. Learn methods for critical film-viewing that you can use in your classes. In this second collaboration with the Pacific Film Archive, film curator Kate MacKay will lead teachers in a pre- and post-viewing discussion of Zero for Conduct, a short, accessible French film that takes place in a school.
Participation is free for teachers. Space for 12.
