Workshop | September 14 | 1-4 p.m. | 2232 Piedmont, Seminar Room
Ryan Edwards, Research Associate, UC Berkeley Population Center
The U.S. Health and Retirement Study (HRS) is an omnibus panel dataset sponsored by the National Institute on Aging. It measures a rich set of socioeconomic and behavioral characteristics of nearly 40,000 older individuals in households.
This workshop will focus on harnessing the powerful HRS dataset to assess an array of compelling questions in the social sciences. The objective is to stimulate new research efforts by expanding awareness of the content and structure of the HRS, with an emphasis on inquiries made possible by the secure computing environment.
The workshop will be led by Ryan Edwards, research associate in the Berkeley Population Center and an HRS expert. Registration is not required to attend.
