Special Quantum Geometry Seminar: Actions of groups and the Gromov-Hausdorff propinquity

Seminar | February 9 | 2:10-3 p.m. | 959 Evans Hall

We discuss some of our recent results concerning the actions of groups on limits of quantum compact metric spaces for the Gromov-Hausdorff propinquity. The central observation is that group actions carry to the limit, in a controlled manner, and ergodicity is preserved as well. These results open new directions for applications of metric methods in noncommutative geometry.
