 Office of Undergraduate Research

The McNair Scholars Program prepares selected underrepresented or low-income/first generation college UC Berkeley undergraduates for graduate study at the doctoral level. The goal of the McNair Scholars Program is to increase the number of underrepresented students in doctoral programs. McNair Scholars receive ample guidance in completing an original research project and applying to grad school, free GRE prep, public speaking training, and the opportunity to publish their research.
