Animal Signs Discovery Station

Special Event | February 25 | 1-3 p.m. |  UC Botanical Garden

 Botanical Garden

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the animal tracks you have found in the Garden? The Animal Signs Discovery Station seeks to interpret animal signs (tracks, scat, scratches or marks on leaves/trees, digging, disturbed vegetation, constructed structures, etc...) left behind in the environment. Movement of animals, animal behavior and/or plant and animal interaction are suggested as a result of observing signs. Also learn about the many animals that visit the Botanical Garden.

Image Right:Signs of the Red-breasted Sapsucker (wells drilled in trunks) are evident on the trunk of Erythrina falcata in the South American collection.
