Tour/Open House | August 27 | 5-7 p.m. | Wurster Hall, Wurster Gallery (1st floor)
The interdisciplinary Global Urban Humanities Initiative (GUH) studies global cities by bringing together scholars, artists and designers from the arts and humanities, architecture, landscape architecture, and city planning.
Come celebrate the start of the sixth year of our activities. Learn about an exciting interdisciplinary research studio on Lagos, Nigeria, an undergraduate studio on historical memory and urban design in New Orleans, and a seminar on the city, arts and public space. We'll also introduce our Graduate and Undergraduate Certificates in Global Urban Humanities and our fall speaker series, The City and its People.
The Open House will also feature presentations by GUH faculty.
We'll be hosting this Global Urban Humanities Initiative Open House in Wurster Gallery (1st floor of Wurster Hall) from 5-7pm on August 27. It will be a great chance to meet GUH faculty and students.
This event is open to the entire campus and public with RSVP. Light refreshments will be provided.
