This 3.5 hour in-person workshop for staff is part of the BPM Grow Your Team series. In this interactive workshop, each participants experience is drawn upon for the learning. Ideally, to contribute to and enhance understanding, participants will come with current and/or previous people management experience.
The content covers an overview of employee engagement, new employee onboarding, the use of ongoing assessments of engagement, creation of an engagement action plan, and communicating the engagement strategy.
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
Explain the benefits of engagement to the organization
State the theory of onboarding
Navigate UC Berkeleys New Employee Onboarding toolkit
Augment an UC Berkeleys New Employee Onboarding toolkit for localized needs
Explain the benefits of an ongoing assessment of engagement
Create an action plan to address two engagement factors
Create an off-boarding action plan
