Milton and Materiality Symposium
Conference/Symposium | February 16 | 9 a.m.-6 p.m. | 300 Wheeler Hall
Department of English, Townsend Center Working Group for the History of the Book
This one-day symposium brings together graduate students and professors from California, Chicago, and Canada to explore the relationship between Milton and materiality. Presenters approach that topic in a variety of ways, including sensory experience, the biology of the immaterial, and the material dimensions of accommodation in Miltons works. We invite all those who attend to join us in a closing roundtable discussion about a pre-circulated excerpt from Milton writings, followed by a wine reception. For a copy of the roundtable excerpt, please email msdrawdy@berkeley.edu.
