3-Manifold Seminar: The golden identity for the Yamada polynomial and flow polynomials of cubic graphs

I'll describe some more about special identities for flow polynomials of planar cubic graphs, and how to obtain Tutte's golden identity. Then we'll describe an extension of this identity to the Yamada polynomial for spatial cubic graphs, and some consequences for flow polynomials of general cubic graphs. (joint with Slava Krushkal)
