Analog Light Show Workshop

Workshop | February 17 | 6-8 p.m. |  Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive

Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive

Come play with old overhead projectors, colored transparencies, prisms, mirrors, and more at this “light jam” with guest artist Jeff Manson (Misto Reef Lights) and the Libido Light Club. Taking inspiration from the light projection performance groups that pioneered this psych art form in the 1960s and 1970s, we will experiment with moving light across space to create patterns, textures, and vibes, accompanied by a special guest DJ. Bring a flashlight and any shiny materials, lenses, or magnifying glasses! This workshop is a prelude to the Analog Light Show performance festival that will occur on the closing weekend of Hippie Modernism.
