More about this event:

Speaker/Performer: Joe Lurie

Join us at International House Berkeley on an exceptional global journey as we explore how cultural concepts of time, distance, communication, health, power and child rearing impact our perceptions and influence daily interactions and world events. Learn why we look at the same thing yet see something different. Discover how to hear what is not said and to question without asking.

Highlights
• Sessions led by noted Berkeley interculturalists Joe Lurie, Dr. Liliane Koziol and ambassador Martin Brennan feature lively interactive class discussions, unique films and uncommon cultural trips in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Enjoy expert-led explorations of Oakland’s Chinatown, San Francisco's acclaimed Japanese Tea Garden and the Mexican Consulate.
• Delve into the world of gestures and hear firsthand accounts of cultural disconnects and diplomacy.

$779 includes room and 17 meals
