Google Apps for Education is a free suite of hosted email and collaboration applications exclusively for schools and universities. bCal will provide an easy way to schedule appointments, share and publish calendars, and keep your schedule at your fingertips – from your desk, your mobile device, or anywhere you have internet access. bMail, the new email platform, will work in a similar manner to the Google email application many members of the campus community now use for personal email. It will include Google Contacts, Tasks, and Chat and a sizeable 25 GB of personal storage.

By sharing one integrated, web-based email and calendar system, UC Berkeley’s faculty, staff and students will be able to find each other more easily and work together more effectively. UC Berkeley will improve collaboration and communication on campus, with other universities, and beyond.
