DESCRIPTION:Jeremy KINSMAN\, international democracy activist\n\nThis talk and discussion is a follow-up to the November 2009 conference at Berkeley:\n\nCanada\, Humanitarian Intervention\, and the Responsibility to Protect (http://canada.berkeley.edu/R2P/R2Phome.htm)\n\nOne of Canada’s most experienced diplomats\, Jeremy Kinsman heads the International Project for the Community of Democracies which has recently produced the “Diplomat’s Handbook on Democracy Development Support” (www.diplomatshandbook.org). In 2006\, Kinsman left the Canadian Foreign Service\, where he held numerous high-profile posts including Canada’s Ambassador to Moscow.
