Seating is on a first-come\, first-served basis.\n\nSeminar from 1:30-2:30 p.m.\, Hosted reception from 2:30-4 p.m.\n\nFREE Event - No Registration Required \n\nPanelists:\n\nAndrew Frank ’55\, M.S. ’58\, Professor of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering\, UC Davis\nFrank developed what may have been the first hybrid vehicle in 1972. He founded the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Davis\, and his company\, Efficient Drivetrain Inc.\, markets the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle to developing countries.\n\nClothilde Hewlett ’76\, J.D. ’79. Partner\, Nossaman LLP\nHewlett has served California Governors Deukmejian and Davis and was an assistant district attorney and a police commissioner in San Francisco. She is committed to serving UC Berkeley and its less privileged students.\n\nDr. Victor Santiago Pineda ’03\, M.C.P. ’06\, Founder\, Pineda Foundation for Youth\nBorn with muscular dystrophy\, Pineda formed a foundation in his dorm in 2002 that educates and inspires young people with disabilities all over the world. His work combines disability research\, policy and practice and this year he is teaching disability studies courses to undergraduate and graduate students at Cal.
