What Is Moore's Law, and Why Should You Care?
11am-12:30pm, 210 Jacobs Hall
First we'll discuss Moore's Law and how it affects our everyday lives. Then we'll have a hands-on lab during which participants get to tear open a hard-disk drive to learn how it works and the best way to guarantee that any private data stored on it is irrevocably erased.
