Harold Pinter: "Art, Truth and Politics"Film - Documentary: Lectures & Special Events | November 13 | 4 p.m. | Durham Studio Theater (Dwinelle Hall) Theater, Dance & Performance Studies, Department of A film screening of Harold Pinters 2005 Nobel Lecture. Upon receiving the 2005 Nobel Prize in Literature, Pinter gave a controversial lecture in which he distinguished between the search for truth in art and the avoidance of truth in politics, launching a scathing attack on George Bush and the British government. Pinter was hospitalized at the time and unable to travel to Stockholm to deliver the lecture in person. The 46-minute pre-taped lecture was projected for the audience at the Swedish Academy in Stockholm on December 7, 2005. Free admission. Seating is limited.
