Oakland-based Cyrus Armajani is a Pushcart Prize nominee and a Jefferson Award recipient for his literary work with incarcerated youth. His first book, Benefits of Doubt, appeared in 2016. Ari Banias’s book Anybody was nominated for the PEN Center USA literary award. The Berkeley-based poet has been awarded fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and Stanford’s Wallace Stegner program.
