Meet Professor Bob Jacobsen who will be giving the pre-concert lecture (doors open at 2pm for ticket holders). The lecture gives an overview of the physical properties (i.e. vibration, sound waves, frequency, pitch, resonance, etc.) at play in the three families of instruments that comprise the contemporary wind band; percussion, brass, and woodwind.

 $16 general admission, $12 other students, seniors, current & retired Berkeley staff & faculty, groups of 10 or more, $5 UC Berkeley students (student ID required) Ticket info: Tickets can be purchased in person at the Zellerbach Hall ticket office, or,  Lecture and slide show are included in the price of admission.
