Lecture: Highlight | June 27 | 7:30 p.m. | International House, Home Room
In any historic event, dramatic things happen. But a chronology of events never tells us what it was like to be there. What was it like for the mothers, the writers, the activists, the Muslim Brotherhood and others? Hoda Rashad will attempt to open a window into the unique lives, histories, opinions and actions that collided to define a new Egypt. She will share the experiences of 10 very different Egyptians representing different entities and schools of thought, compiled from over 40 hours of recorded conversations, offering a deeper sense of the root causes and inner workings of the Egyptian revolution.
