 The Latinx Research Center

Join us for this historic speaking tour by Dr. Steve Ellner, the preeminent scholar in the English language on political, economic histories of Venezuela to understand the complexities of the current situation in Venezuela and its effects both inside and outside the country. Prof. Ellner is a 40 year resident researcher of Venezuela working in the areas of law, political science, and economics with nuanced insights on the hardships imposed on the Venezuelan people by US-Canadian Sanctions. This is now more important with the recent US-Colombia backed assassination attempt on Venezuela President Maduro on August 4, and recent US judge ruling authorizing the seizure of Citgo’s assets in the US.
