A Multi-dimensional Approach to Track Molecular Dynamics at Extreme Scales

Our lab is developing new approaches to examine charge carrier dynamics in complex molecular systems at extreme spatial and temporal scales. Recently, our group has demonstrated coherent 4D Electronic-Raman spectroscopy and spectrally-resolved transient-absorption microscopy, methods that are uniquely sensitive to electron-phonon-vibrational interactions. We highlight the use of these complimentary techniques for examining a diverse range of systems including pigment-protein complexes, semiconductor nanocrystals, and hybrid lead halide perovskites.
