Nearly half a million Rohingya have fled from Burma to neighboring Bangladesh to escape killings, arson, and other mass atrocities. The United Nations recently called the situation “a textbook case of ethnic cleansing.” Come learn about the mounting crisis in Burma’s Rakhine State from Brad Adams, executive director of Human Rights Watch’s Asia Division and professor of international human rights law. Food will be served. Sponsored by the Boalt Hall Committee for Human Rights and the Human Rights Center at Berkeley Law.
