Come learn fun, engaging, hands-on mathematics activities to help all your parents understand the changes that the new Californias Common Core State Standards in Mathematics (CA-CCSSM) will bring to classroom instruction and district/state assessments.
Mathematics topics will include number and operations in base 10 and fractions, operations and algebraic thinking, and geometry. Parents will understand how the Standards for Mathematical Practice impact classroom instruction and create access for all students.
You will leave prepared to lead classes with families. Recruitment strategies, advertisement, and materials production will also be shared.
