Join the FOSS development team at the Lawrence Hallof Science introducing the brand new FOSS Variables and Design Next Generation 4-week course for grades 5–8 science or engineering classes.

Engage as a student learner with the Variables and Design course to:
• consider the roles of scientists and engineers,
• learn about variables and experimental design,
• tackle engineering challenges,
• and learn about modern engineering technology, including 3D printing.

Engage in investigations to learn about the underlying research and pedagogy of the FOSS Middle School program and alignment to the Framework and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Reflect as an educator on how the instruction provides a foundation of science and engineering practices and principles, preparing students for further study in their science class, STEM class, or maker space
