Energy Education Leaders' National Conference: CEREL Annual Program Oct. 16-18

The national Council of Energy Research and Education Leaders (CEREL), a non-profit independent agency dedicated to improving public knowledge and decision-making about energy through university research, will be holding its annual conference at UC Berkeley Oct. 16-18. Hosted by the Energy Biosciences Institute, the meeting is open to faculty, administrators and students who wish to learn more about current technology and policy issues in renewable energy and energy efficiency systems.

The conference program features field and site tours; an opening-night networking dinner; keynote addresses by UC Berkeley energy professors Steven Weissman and Dan Kamman; breakout sessions on energy and water, energy efficiency, Asian energy opportunities and emerging technologies; panel discussions on energy financing, education and communications; and workshops on life cycle analysis (LCA), energy start-ups, and energy education principles and practice.


 $200 CEREL members discount; non-CEREL members $600
