Join the Cal Energy Corps students as they reflect on their experiences and lessons learned during their internships across the world. They will share a wide variety of exciting projects - from developing more efficient cook stoves in coastal Nicaraguan villages, to analyzing the world solar PV market in China, to turning waste into biodiesel in Ghana.

The Cal Energy Corps is an undergraduate internship program created to engage the best and brightest students from UC Berkeley in the design, development, and delivery of sustainable energy and climate solutions across the world.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Dr. Arun Majumdar served as the first Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-E), the US agency devoted to transformational energy research and development, from October 2009 to June 2012. In addition, he served as the Acting Under Secretary of Energy. Prior to joining ARPA-E, Dr. Majumdar was the Associate Laboratory Director for Energy and Environment at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at UC Berkeley. His highly distinguished research career includes the science and engineering of energy conversion, transport, and storage ranging from molecular and nanoscale level to large energy systems. In 2005, Dr. Majumdar was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering for this pioneering work.
