The Clean Energy Emergency: with Daniel Kammen

Lecture | November 15 | 6:30-7:30 p.m. | Sutardja Dai Hall, Banatao Auditorium

Master of Development Practice

Professor Dan Kammen is a global thought leader for clean energy and energy access. He is Chair of UC Berkeley’s Energy and Resources Group, Director of the Environmental Public Policy Center, and founder of UC Berkeley’s Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory. His field research projects are in East Africa, Central America, and on Borneo. Kammen was a coordinating lead author for the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change, World Bank “Clean Energy Czar” and Science Envoy for the U.S. State Department – until he fired himself over disagreements with Trump administration policies. Join Professor Kammen as he reflects on lessons learned from three decades on the frontlines of the clean energy debates and what those lessons portend for the future of global energy and the planet.
