Reunifying Tea Ceremony with Fabula Tea

Workshop | May 25 | 10 a.m.-12 p.m. |  Hearst Museum of Anthropology

Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology

Tea ceremony as a ritual can provide the bridge between the inner and outer worlds, the sacred and the mundane. It is also away to help reintegrate the individual back into the communal, thus reunifying the often fragmented modern selves with the great harmony of humanity.

For this workshop, join us as we explore the Gongfu Cha Tea Ceremony, an ancient ritual that utilizes fine loose-leaf teas and teawares to help one achieve a higher level of awareness. Together, we will experience how to slow down and allow our six senses (sight, smell, taste, hearing, touch, consciousness) to relax and reawaken through the Gongfu Cha brewing process, resulting in the ability to connect deeper with ourselves as well as with each other.

Fabula Tea brings together the ancient traditions of tea ceremony, storytelling and art appreciation. Our exquisite teas and unique approaches to tea ceremonies offer a place of connection and open people to new ways to de-stress, feel rejuvenated and gain a new level of awareness.
