Interested in designing and building systems to tackle complex, real-world problems? Curious to know what an investment system is and how it works? This talk shares how Bridgewater, the world’s largest hedge fund, builds an understanding of macroeconomics and turns that into highly inspectable investment systems. We see this as one of the keys to continued success in this highly competitive space. In this talk we introduce you to some of Bridgewater's most fundamental economic principles and build up a simple and representative investment system. No prior finance experience or understanding necessary.
