Emerging efforts to improve complex care from The Commonwealth Fund’s perspective

The Commonwealth Fund and five other foundations have formed a collaborative focused on adoption of promising practices that improve outcomes and lower costs for adults with complex needs. Tanya Shah, assistant vice president at The Commonwealth Fund, will be sharing the latest lessons and research emerging from this joint effort.
Tanya Shah MBA, MPH ’99 is assistant vice president, Delivery System Reform, at The Commonwealth Fund. She joined them as a senior program officer with responsibility for the high-need, high-cost population portfolio. Previously, she was assistant commissioner, Bureau of Primary Care Access and Planning with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She also worked at the Boston Consulting Group, where she advised Fortune 500 companies, coordinated a climate change strategic planning process for Mayor Bloomberg’s office, and led the “International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement” for Harvard University’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness.
