Discovery Station: Flowers

Special Event | May 1 | 11 a.m.-3 p.m. |  UC Botanical Garden

 Botanical Garden

What is the purpose of a flower—what does the flower attract, how does the flower attract it, and why? Observe a variety of different flower structures. Learn how flowers have evolved to use color, shape, scent, patterns (nectar guides), and rewards such as pollen and nectar to attract pollinators and to ensure that its pollen travels to another flower of the same kind.
