 Gero-MSW Alumni Advisory Committee

The UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare in collaboration with the school’s Gero-MSW Alumni Advisory Committee cordially invites you to attend a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of gerontological social work education at UC Berkeley’s School of Social Welfare.

Along with marking this important milestone, we will be honoring the distinguished career of Andrew Scharlach, Ph.D., the school’s Kleiner Professor of Aging who has announced his plans to retire from his post in June. In addition, this event will serve as the official launch of the Andrew E. Scharlach Fellowship in Gerontology which will support future MSW students at Berkeley who intend to pursue a career in the field of aging.

The reception will be a great way for many of us who support Berkeley's MSW program's long-standing commitment to preparing students for a career in aging services and are fans of Professor Scharlach to come together for an enjoyable evening. Complimentary food and beverages will be served. We hope you can join us!

Toast and comments at 6:30pm.

RSVPs encouraged.
