In this session, Dr. Tony Simons, who has been leading international development projects for 30 years, will be giving an overview about the World Agroforestry Centre, walking through a case study, and sharing his perspectives of the industry, including the future of international development and career opportunities for students.

The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is a Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Consortium Research Centre. The Centre's vision is a rural transformation throughout the tropics as smallholder households increase their use of trees in agricultural landscapes to improve their food security, nutrition security, income, health, shelter, social cohesion, energy resources and environmental sustainability.
