FOSS Project Staff
Join the FOSS developers at the Lawrence Hall of Science to experience how to meet the expectations of the new CA Science Framework and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). We will share strategies and tools to help K-5 educators engage students with phenomena through three-dimensional learning, CA Environmental Principles and Concepts, ELA and ELD standards, and formative assessment using FOSS Next Generation for California users. We encourage school teams, administrators and specialists to participate.
On this day:
Experience taking FOSS outdoors with connections to the Environmental Principles & Concepts
Incorporate sense-making using science and engineering practices and crosscutting concepts
Use science to strengthen connections to literacy, math and ELD
Refreshments and lunch included. Each participant will receive one teacher toolkit.
