Bryan Weiner, PhD, Professor of Global Health and Health Services, University of Washington

 Health Policy and Management

Organizational readiness is said to be critical for successful change implementation. But, what is organizational readiness and how do you measure it? This talk will describe how organizational readiness has been conceived and measured in health services and other fields. A research program to systematically develop and test a theory-based, reliable, valid, and brief measure of organizational readiness for implementing change will be discussed. Research and practical uses of the measure will be highlighted.
