Jeredith Merrin received her PhD from the Berkeley English Department in 1987and is now Emerita Professor of English at Ohio State University, living in Arizona and teaching occasionally in the writing program at Arizona State. She is the author of several books of poetry, Shift (1996), Bat Ode (2001), both published by the University of Chicago Press, Cup in 2014, a prizewinning chapbook, Owling, in 2016 as well as An Enabling Humility: Marianne Moore, Elizabeth Bishop, and the Uses Of Tradition (1990)
