"Global Cinema and 1968": Ciné-tracts: Film Screening

In partnership with BAMPFA and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S., the Institute of European Studies presents a special screening of the "Ciné-tracts," a selection of experimental short films by Jean-Luc Godard, Alain Resnais, and others, created amid the strikes and protests of May 1968 in Paris.

"Ciné-tracts" is part of the "Global Cinema and 1968" series, guest curated for BAMPFA by Christina Gerhardt (Visiting Scholar at the Institute of European Studies, 2018-19, and Associate Professor at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa)
